I’ve wanted to start some type of geography club at Heritage for a long time. There are so many cool things to learn about in this world and unfortunately we just don’t have time to do enough exploration in social studies class!
This summer I read about the Passport Club (passportclubonline.com) program. Many school districts use this program in their elementary schools. I decided to adapt that program to be more challenging and to fit the Ohio 6th Grade Curriculum.
The basic idea of Passport Club is for you to learn more about the world around you by giving you the opportunity to explore your interests in geography further. You will also have the opportunity to gather with like-minded friends once a month on our Passport Days to share and discuss what you’ve learned. You get to do all of this without giving up your precious time after school and while earning Pride Points for school participation!
