I will be traveling to Los Angeles with my husband to attend the Adobe Max Conference from October 5th - 9th. Check back here throughout the week if you want to see see what I am doing and get a chance to answer a daily question for extra credit!
Saturday and Sunday: We arrived early so that we could go to Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights. Like many of you, my husband and I love Halloween and scary movies! My favorite haunted house was the Walking Dead: Wolves Not Far. For those of you that are fans of the show, you may recognize the TERMINUS sign! Here are some pics from the event:
Monday, October 5th:
Today is the first day of the conference. The opening session starts at 9:30 AM Pacific Time. What time is that for you in the Eastern Time Zone? A correct answer will get you one point extra credit. I will collect your guess when I return on Friday!
Tuesday, October 6th:
Some of the conference events are taking place at the Microsoft Theater, formerly known as the Nokia Theater. This theater has hosted many Hollywood events like the ESPY Awards, the AMAs, the Emmy Awards, the BETs, and the MTV Video Music Awards. It's also where the American Idol finale takes place. Unfortunately there was no celebrities to been seen while I was there :)
Today's extra credit question is: The coordinates of the theater are 34.0444° N, 118.2667° W. Is this the absolute or relative location?!?
We also got a chance to explore the Community Pavilion, which is like a huge adult playground. There were bean bags, swings, board games, video games, and even a dessert bar!
Wednesday, October 7th:
Today was the last full day of the conference. There was a huge party called Max Bash in the evening. The bash included food, entertainment, and more dessert!!! The bands Cage the Elephant and Fitz and the Tantrums played.
Today's extra credit question: Given the coordinates from yesterday, what TWO hemispheres is California located in?
Thursday, October 8th:
Today we are heading home :) We left L.A. at 7:00, but won't arrive home to Columbus until 5:00 PM because of the time difference :( See you tomorrow!
Today's extra credit question: During our trip to California we did get a chance to see the ocean. What ocean did I get to visit?
